Vellichor Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Vellichor may store imported book files, extracted text, chapter information, reading position, voice and playback preferences, and prepared audio inside the app’s container. This information supports the reading and narration features you ask for, and it is not transmitted to us.

You choose which files Vellichor can open through Apple’s document picker. Vellichor does not scan unrelated files or your wider document library.

Narration

Book text is turned into speech on your device. It is not sent to us or to a remote narration service.

The narration model, pronunciation components, and narrator voices are included in the app download. Narration needs no network connection and downloads nothing after installation.

Apple services

Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We receive the entitlement status needed to unlock the app, but not your payment card or bank details. Apple’s handling of App Store data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

If a version of Vellichor offers private iCloud sync and you turn it on, Apple may store the selected library information in your private iCloud account so it is available on your devices. We do not operate that storage service and have no access to the contents of your private CloudKit database.

Analytics and tracking

The version covered by this policy contains no developer analytics, advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or developer-operated crash reporting. We do not use the advertising identifier and do not ask for permission to track.

Retention and deletion

Your library stays on your device until you delete books inside Vellichor or delete the app. Deleting the app removes its local container according to iOS behaviour. If private iCloud sync is enabled, you can also manage that data through your Apple account and device settings.

Because we do not operate user accounts or collect your library, there is no server copy for us to retrieve, export, or delete.

Children

Vellichor is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your documents

You are responsible for having permission to access and use the documents you import into Vellichor. The app does not publish or share imported documents with other users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Vellichor’s features or our legal obligations change. The effective date above changes with the published policy, and material changes will be communicated through the app or its App Store listing where appropriate.
